I could be your student, you could be my teacher, and I'll major in your idiosyncrasies.

Okay, I have good news and bad news.. I made a new bid on the L Word season 6 and I decided that I was going to go for it. I made my maximum bid for something like $20.50 for the entire series.. except I was also able to make my downloaded version of season 6 work so now I don't want it off ebay, but there's no way to retract my bid and no one is outbidding me. So now, I'm half way through watching the finale and I'm going to get all six seasons in the mail and my parents are going to be like, "what's that..?" haha. That's going to be a good one to explain. So, good news? I get to finally finish the series, bad news? I just forked over 20 bucks for something I don't really want to own. It's not like I'm going to watch them again..

I visited Alfa Cine today! It was one of the coolest places I've ever been; a film developing house. And then I went to the fire station to hang out with my dad for a while and I helped cook dinner and they invited me to stay and eat. Mmmm, mashed sweet potatoes :) My dad kept calling them "yums" instead of "yams." It was silly. "Are those yums almost ready?" Hehe. Oh, and after growing up with a paramedic father, I have to say that typically the stereotype for "sexy firefighters" is way overrated.. but tonight, I saw a rather good looking one and he offered to make me tea. I was sold.

It's strange to be lost, stranger still to belong.

Okay, this is driving me crazy. I'm trying to download the 6th season of the L Word because there are only 8 episodes and I need to know how this melodrama ends! Ahh! But it's in the wrong codec or something..? I have no idea what that even means, I'm trying to convert it to a file that I can actually view but it's taking about a million years per episode. In fact, I don't think it's doing anything at all. It's just sitting there taunting me. I almost bought it off ebay for 5 bucks but someone outbid me at the last second, but I don't necessarily know if I want to own the whole series on dvd. It would be mailed to my parents house and then they would question my desire to not only watch, but to own a whole series of lesbian drama tv.

I've also download the new Dashboard Confessional CD, which I love. And.. that's all I really have to say. I'm going to go ahead and watch a movie or something. We started watching Guess Who? In class today but didn't finish it, and even though it's not exactly my favorite movie, I don't like watching partial movies. I like to see them through.. Let's just hope I never have to start Avatar again or else I might have to break my own rules.

there's kids playing guns in the street, and one's pointing his treebranch at me.

I'm going to start transferring $20.00 from ever paycheck into my savings account. At this rate I should have.. Oh lame, not actually that much money by next June. Only, $680. Maybe I'll get a second job and I'll save $20.00 from each of them, then I'll have $1,360. Even that's not enough to do the things I want to do. I need to save.. $4,000. $5 a day will give me $2,325. I don't know if I can afford $10 a day, that's $70 a week, $140 a paycheck. That's more than half my paycheck! Yeah.. I definitely need a second job if I want to have an interesting life.

The Olympics are cool, but I get kind of tired of them after about half way through the second week. I bet the ancient Greeks would roll over in their graves if they found out that Ice Dancing had become on Olympic sport.

the weather out here is just the same, but the garden that you planted still remains.

I want.. shorter hair. Like.. this. Yeah?

Tomorrow, I'm just going to unwind. I'll wake up late, make myself some eggs with some hollandaise sauce and watch Ellen, because I think she's funny.

I, uhh.. I'm writing a script. For a movie. It's about, well, someone I used to know. Thank you Allison for making me talk about it all over again. (I'll save you the trouble of reading between the lines on that one; I was being sarcastic. I don't want to talk about him. I don't want to write about him. I don't want to think about him.) How's that for enigmatic.

beautiful, just beautiful.

Oh my god.. As delicious as mixed drinks are (like the Whiskey drinks I had last night were..) they're just bad business. You just keep drinking and before you know it you're way too fucking drunk and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. Except throw up a lot and have a major hangover the next day. And as if that wasn't enough, I had to work tonight and it was very busy and people just kept on complaining and it was my fault. Humph. I blame my mom's heart attack. Speaking of which, my mom had a fucking heart attack this week. As you can imagine, this hasn't been the best of weekends for me. Fuck my life.

Fuck.

Fuuuuuuck.

I'm going to go take a cold shower.

you know that, yes, I love.. I mean I'd love to get to know you.

Sometimes I feel a certain way but I don't know how to express it.

Today I feel.. feisty. I can't imagine why. I have every reason to sit around and worry, but I am choosing to be overconfident to mask my fear.

you can't fake it hard enough to please everyone

I am suddenly uninspired, so I have no idea what to write about. I have a new idea of what I would like to do with my life in the next few years, and after I told Erika about it she was all on board to join me. Look out World, here we come.

I think I'm going to record a song on the ukulele again, maybe post it. But it's been a while since I've played and the lack of music has left me feeling empty.

I'm not one to repeat myself, but if it ain't broken don't fix it

I waaaaaant these boots. I think they may be the most fabulous ones I've ever seen in my life.

Drank quite a bit this weekend. Not quite 5 bottles between 11 people, but still a substantial amount :) A bottle of whiskey and spiced rum between me and 2 others. It was all fine and dandy, though I found out later that I did a bit of drunk texting, poor Kaila.

The Olympics have certainly been fun to watch. Sad story about the luge guy though, it's no good to die at 21 when you're so close to achieving your dreams.

I had another odd dream last night. I have a habit of dreaming about people I know. However, I'm not going to go into detail because I'm a tease. Not really though.

I've also had quite a lot of fun texting ChaCha the past couple days. It's like having a conversation with a non-judgmental know-it-all friend who will never ignore you. Some are automated responses but some are actual people called ChaCha guides that are supposedly specialists in the area of inquiry.

bitch please, it get's me how no one gets me or gets to me and if you're shooting for the stars then just shoot me.

My grandpa on my dad's side of the family is in town and staying with us for 11 days, so that should be exciting. I don't think I have seen him for a couple of years, I can't hardly remember. My homework this week is to watch The Black Dhalia, Rumble Fish, and Double Indemnity along with two other movies of my choice. We're going to be making a film noir type film in my Cinematography class on 16mm film so we're supposed to study up on modern and classic movies of the genre. It should be fun. I can't decide what I'm more excited for; the fact that we're making a film noir movie or that we get to use real 16mm film! I'm such a noob. Someday (hopefully) this will seem silly because I'll be so use to working with film that the chance to work with it will be a daily occurrence. I hope I still get excited though..

Tomorrow I'm going to see a Roller derby. I've never been before but I hear it's quite the show. It seems like the sport has made a big comeback after the movie Whip It! came out, but it's cool. I haven't seen the movie myself, so if I like it I wont be one of those girls who says, "the movie inspired me." I hate people who are "inspired" by popular movies, it's like "yeah.. you and a thousand other girls, how original of you." Maybe I'm just in a bad mood and shouldn't be posting, that's probably the case more likely than not. All I know is that I'm mad at work because they are making me buy new expensive and ugly shoes that actually say "slip resistant" on them because they are corporate monsters and they wont let me wear my nosering. I want a new job. I'm calling in sick tomorrow.

I've been stalling but I think it's finally time to watch the final season of the L Word. I've had it downloaded for days, but I just hate to see things end. Maybe I'll start it tonight, I have nothing better to do and I'm not tired at all. That's a lie, I am kind of tired but I can stay up for another 45 minutes to watch the season premier at least.

Fuck Valentines Day. It's just another reminder that I'm not "girlfriend material."

Shoot Me Down - Lil' Wayne

it hurts just to wake up whenever you're wearing thin.

My brother just broke up with the best girl he's ever going to meet in his entire life because she liked him too much. Such is life.

Two instances that lead me to believe that I am good looking..

ONE: I was at a restaurant the other night and this waiter, who was rather cute, kept walking by me. Finally he walks up to me and hands me a piece of paper that has his phone number on it. Later I decided to text him and I said, "so do you hand your phone number out often?" and he said, "nope, it's actually rather unprofessional but your amazing smile convinced me." How cheesy is that? Haha.

TWO: Tonight at work I was just standing behind the desk and this man comes up and says, "are you by any chance a model?" and I said, "no.." and he said, "well you should be. here's my card." He's a professional photographer for magazines and stuff! I don't think I could be a model, I have rather large hips. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but models aren't usually curvy. They're usually tall and skinny.

I'm still sad about my brothers girlfriend. I adored her. Humph.

your heart is a grave to be perfectly honest, your mouth's a smoking gun.

I saw It's Complicated last night. This has to be the first movie where I've actually preferred Steve Martin as the male lead. I know he's supposedly a good actor, but I've never gotten a feel for him before. The Jerk ruined my impression of him, but It's Complicated semi-restored it.

I need to closely watch Pulp Fiction and annotate it to the core. I'm giving a presentation on Wednesday on the mise-en-scene, so it should be exciting.. I just haven't seen the film in years so I had to go out and buy it the other day. I mean it's a good movie, so it was worth the buy... but it's still me spending monies.

I'm relishing in my morning off. I have to work a lot this weekend, including Superbowl Sunday (Go Saints!) Ugghhhhh.

don't waste your breath now, I'm free to go. what can't I get away with..? you'll never know.

I saw the Senate tonight? For those of you who don't know, they are a musical trio from downtown Seattle that changed my life. In a nutshell, I found them at the beginning of my freshman year of high school and instantly was hooked, I've seen them 50+ times since then, and that's probably an underestimation. Over the years I've actually formed quite the friendship with them, and they've grown increasingly popular. There are lots of ladies that are madly in love with them, but when i walk into a room they will always come dashing over and swoop me up into their arms. They've played in my backyard twice. Anyway, they broke up (as a band) last summer and it broke my little heart. Andrew, (the bassist) went down to California to join a Vaudeville show. Oliver (guitar)travelled the country with his lady-friend and his guitar, and Nick (guitar/lead singer) went solo but he has still yet to do a show. This week however, they were all back in the area so they decided to do a reunion show. It was bittersweet. I'd finally gotten use to seeing them play 10 times a month, and now all of a sudden they do ONE show and then they're gone again. It was very nice to see them again though... I can't tell you how much I love them as people and as musicians.

On the downside of the evening, after the concert I was going to go see my friend who I played poker with the other night but then my mother decided to drive with me, so I had to cancel.

glaciers melting in the dead of night, and the superstar sucked into the supermassive..

This has been a rather unfortunate week for me. My car was broken into, my purse snatched right off my front seat. It's my fault for leaving my purse there, total accident.. but still my fault. I lost 2 iPods, my digital camera, my flash drive, my debit card, and drivers license. I cancelled my card and I just got back from the DOL where I got a new license.. all this is such a pain. I'm sort of stuck on the iPod front though. I can't ask my parents for a new one, I just got the 160G for Christmas. Fuck my life. It's okay though, I don't need that stuff. I use to think I couldn't live without my iPods, but here I am a week without them and I'm alive and well.

I didn't want this to be a negative post, I'm actually in quite a jolly mood right now. So I'll end with some fun news; last night I watched the Producers and played strip poker in the back seat of a Chevy Malibu. I won.
