let the drummer kick, let the drummer kick that.

The words, "she's still got it, yeah baby she's got it" should be my theme song right now after last night. I almost chickened out but certainly did not. Go me!

Hit up the Hookah Bar again last night. It was sort of funny because I went with a group of people who did not feel like smoking so I pretty much smoked the whole thing myself, talk about head rush.

Anyhoo.. the reason I've been too busy to post lately is because I got a second job and then school started getting busy. I've worked on.. 3 films so far in the past few weeks and I was supposed to be working on one today but we never planned it out.. Which means we'll probably be doing it all tomorrow, ha.d

Let The Drummer Kick - Citizen Cope

welcome, they said, welcome to the floor

Sooooo.. holy shit. It's been a really long time since I've had the luxury to sit down at a computer and do something other than write a script. I feel like I suck at this, when I was doing oh so good for quite a few months in a row. Fail. Allow me to try and update in all aspects of my life.

School: I'm taking Video Foundations, Screenwriting and Making Movies. The second and third classes are really great. Aside from the Screenwriting being a hybrid class (we only meet on campus once a week and the rest of the time is online) I am actually doing stuff in there. Video Foundations however is a horrible horrible class where we just get lectured at and then we are given a week to make silly videos. I don't listen because the teacher has a droning voice and the only thing that saves me is that there is a computer for me to sit and play Solitaire at for 2.5 hours every day. It's pathetic. I've missed the last 4 assignments in there, I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail it. I know it's dumb, you're thinking, "Andrea.. why don't you just do it?" There's a mental block. I can't.

I directed a film! It's part of the Making Movies class, but we were broken up into 4 groups -- each with a director, director of photography, assistant director, production designers, and editors/boom operators and I was chosen to be director. It was really exciting. We filmed at a Hookah Bar in Seattle called the Cobra Lounge which is pretty much the coolest place in the whole world, and now I have a slight crush on the guy that works there. One of those crushes that makes me say only stupid things around him so I'm pretty sure he just thinks I'm a total weirdo.. go figure.

Social:I have a new friend. His name is Bo, and he's pretty much me except he's a dude, and he's black. Ha. But I love him. He's going to rob a bank and become a billionaire so we can get married and move to London and make films. So that's my future for right now. However, we're not dating. Nor do I think we want to be. It's like.. I feel like we are too much alike. Let me put it this way, if he asked me out I'd say yes, but I'm not crossing my fingers.

I had two friends from work that I started hanging out with all the time, but then they started dating each other and it got weird. Now I don't see them all that often.

Romance: As I said earlier, I have a crush on the guy from the Cobra Lounge, and I have Bo. But as far as romantic liaisons? Who has time these days. I am not happy about this.

Work: I still have 2 jobs but this Saturday I'm putting in my 2 weeks notice at my second job. I simply can't handle 2 jobs and school. It was silly to think that I could. I haven't hardly had a day off in months, and I'm not okay with that. What with all the films I've been working on lately, and classes, and the time it takes to edit and shit.. And I wonder why I haven't had any time for romance. The only reason I was able to meet the guy at C.L. was because I was filming at his work.

That's all I really have to say for now. It's getting late and I have things to do, places to go and people to see tomorrow.
